With over 10 years of experience teaching, Elaina has taught students ages 6 to 60+ across a wide variety of styles. Today, she maintains a small private voice studio of young singers studying primarily classical voice. Elaina is passionate about sharing folk song, classical art song, opera, sacred music, and musical theatre with her students, and loves watching them discover and fall in love with this repertoire. Her studio also participates in monthly studio classes to work on performance skills, and regularly participates in recitals and local festivals.
Over the years, Elaina's students have won awards from the KPU Music Festival/VAYA Music Festival and the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival, been selected as both the representatives and the alternates for the Performing Arts BC provincial competition representing both Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, won first place in Intermediate Classical Voice at the Performing Arts BC provincial competition, performed with orchestra at both the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts and the Bell Performing Arts Centre, been selected to participate in multiple years of the UBC Summer Vocal Workshop, and been admitted to university voice performance programs.
